This doesn't mean what you say goes. Ask the other person for their thoughts. This allows each party to reconcile their wants/needs/goals with the other's, allowing for contribution AND compromise.
This is not easy and something I'm still working on myself, as there's always room for improvement. ☺️
Keep in mind: Indifference can often come off as disinterest.
When someone asks for your opinion on something, what you want to do when spending time together, what you want as a gift for a special occasion, etc... Give them your honest opinion because they wouldn't have asked otherwise. 💙
