Really enjoyed our trip to KV Mechelen last night. Proper hidden gem. Great atmosphere and a really lovely stadium. Would highly recommend.

0-3 at half time and but for a great save and some sloppy finishing it should be more. LCL are good to watch.

0-2 after half an hour. Fulham not in the game at all. LCL move the ball very well.

At the Cottage for the women’s FA Cup. London City Lionesses a class or two above at the moment. Still 0-0 after 20 though.

Or make the three brands fully separate to spread the stars out. Especially now WWE has basically gone the other way and needs to use their top stars for ratings on every brand.

There’s also dross in AEW getting too much air time, forcing potential stars to fringe roles. Time to send Mark Briscoe to RoH for example. Move on from Jericho etc. Ospreay, MJF, Mox, Hangman, Swerve, Okada, Jay White. That’s already too many top guys (even if they’re all deserving).

WWE does do a much better job of building stars. The bloodline stuff on raw was compelling. AEW rotates big names too much. TK was clearly too keen to please too many people. Build a few massive stars. Pick your horses and ride.

Some wrestling thoughts having watched the WWE Netflix debut. Firstly AEW is still a much better product as a viewer. I don’t know why WWE still gets huge gates why AEW can’t sell out tiny venues.

Great news re Sesks doing events for M-Sport this year in WRC as per the end of More Than Machine.

I do think yesterday showed our squad frailty. We have a lot of key players who can run hot or cold. We lacked the guaranteed class someone like Willian offered. Adama, Wilson, Muniz and several others are capable of European level play but they also can run very cold as they did yesterday.

We also don’t play well against teams who don’t offer an offensive tactic. Southampton largely sat with a very high line but limited press and just clogged the middle third. Our only real tactic was Iwobi carries and looks for an overlap.

It was a bit like we’ve forgotten how to approach matches we should win / control after a series of great defensive performances where we largely didn’t control the ball.

That Fulham performance yesterday was arguably our worst of the season. Just not at the races all game.

Moffat to West Surrey Racing in the BTCC. Predictable following LKQ announcement but still exciting changes. Still unsure of WSR entry, ie total number of cars.

Lean times at M-Sport. Where’s Sesks??? Will be interesting to watch Munster to see if he can become a team leader but it seems the rumours of both seats being a matter of cash brought is true. Rossel, Solberg, Greensmith, Sesks, Gryazin all probably more deserving.

Rumours of M-Sport only running partial programmes alongside Munster in 2025 is a shame. Hopefully just rumours but this doesn’t bode overly well. WRC has big picture problems with manufacturer interest. I’ve only discovered it this year and it’s brilliant but it needs better promotion and coverage.

Never a bad sign when your manager has his own coaching tree. HO following Boa in becoming a head coach.

Absolutely love this from West Surrey Racing. Deleon looked a real prospect towards the end of last season. Will be fascinating to see who goes in the second MB BMW alongside Hill.

That was a brutal 90 minutes to watch as a Fulham fan. Playing that much without the ball is exhausting and anxiety inducing.

The thing that stood out for me tonight was our pace going forward. Just like the first time when we go, we go as a wave. Donnell’s one touch passing and the pace of Gordon, Works, Osmand and Loupalo-Bi was really something.

Well that was thoroughly good fun. Osmand, Works, Donnell and Gofford were my stand out performers for Fulham but some real flashes from almost everyone, esp Loupalo-Bi and Gordon. 3-2 win for Fulham over Woking.

1-1 at half time. Fulham playing well especially going forward. Both sides missed penalties and Woking’s Matt Ward scored a screamer.
