Re-Pac 2 might be objectively better but the original will probably always be my favorite.
I'm really glad Re-Pac 2 does more of its own thing rather than trying to "replace" the original like so many remakes (or at least platformer remakes) try to do.

re-pac 2 is an overall better game but I think it's a very interesting position where it changes up so much that it doesn't "replace" the original. it might be the better experience but I wouldn't call it "definitive" either because it's just not the same and it's not supposed to be

I wish it was easier to meet up with people. I wish I could afford to get out more often. I wish transphobia wasn't so bad right now. I wish this was easier, but I got to play with the hand I've been dealt and I can't pretend that I've been given a different one.

Way before HRT, I tried to distract myself from the dysphoria by deliberately putting as much on my plate as possible. Since then that's been my primary coping mechanism when dealing with hard times outside of my control. That's no longer working. Maybe it never worked.

I need to take the advice of my girlfriend, friends, employers, etc and be more forgiving to myself.
It's just hard to change habits when they're so entrenched.

I don't talk about my autism often, and I try not to, as cliche as it is to say, I don't like being defined by labels. However, with how much these habits I've built up have been hindering my ability to function, it's worth addressing.

The demands for exceptionalism in all areas of development in solo dev indie work has really turbo charged my perfectionism and has been contributing greatly to my autistic burnout.
I wanna be able to keep making videos and games, but I also need to take it way easier on myself for my own health.
