2025 #Sounders pre-season schedule:
1/23: vs. IF Brøndby 5:00 a.m. PT – Estádio Algarve
2/5: vs. Hammarby IF 4:00 a.m. PT – Marbella
2/5: vs. Metalist FC 1925 7:00 a.m. PT – Marbella
2/15: vs. Louisville City FC time TBA – Providence Swedish Performance Center & Clubhouse
A few key MLS roster rule changes:
- Unlimited Cash for Player trades. Clubs limited to 2 in, 2 out last season. This strengthens the internal transfer market.
- No age limits on intra-league loans. Better players available.
- No deadline for players to receive domestic status. More flexibility.
MLS just announced updated Transfer Window dates for 2026.
The Primary Window will open on Jan. 26 and close on Mar. 26, while the Secondary Window will open on July 13 and close on Sept. 2
The Secondary extends into September for the first time in two decades (excluding the COVID affected 2020).

Paul Rothrock has been officially resigned to a new contract through the 2028-29 season, with a club option for the 2029-30 season.
Paul has 16 goals and 12 assists across 92 all-comp appearances for SSFC since joining the first team.
