Had a wonderful evening at Leatherhead Methodist singing carols old and new with the band at cafe carols yesterday. Love ced the way we journeyed through the Advent themes of hope, peace, love and joy as we worshipped.

An afternoon 'Anticipating Advent', preparing for a quiet day later this week.
One of my favourite seasons of the year - which fights against the hustle and bustle and busyness of Christmas, life and ministry - and every year re-roots me as a disciple and follower of Christ.

Hello there. 👋 We're the Methodist Church in Britain, the mother church to Methodists worldwide! ⛪
We are called to be a growing, inclusive, evangelistic and justice-seeking Church. We're here to engage in a positive online community and help people discover faith through a Methodist lens. 🙏
But some people did come. Only a few, but they came. Carrying with them their worries and concerns and grief and regrets. Deep pains and raw emotions. Their stories, and stories of those they'd lost.
So much I'm left to think about & process. For now, I hold it all before God in prayer.
Spent an afternoon at Leatherhead Methodist as we open for prayer and reflection to mark Transgender Day of Remembrance.
This was a new thing for LMC, and for me, and just making the space available felt like it would be a witness in itself. I wasn't sure if anyone would come.
