Next Fest's getting clogged is unfortunately inevitable - any of these tools that Valve surfaces will inevitably reach a saturation point where using it becomes table stakes / the new baseline, and then everyone's super so nobody is, as they say. Feels like an arms race.

It takes a real head to dive further beyond "what are the most popular demos" but i do think picking two separate weeks of the year as broad encouragement to Seek New Projects is a hell of a lot more than anyone else has done for the little guy. Plus, even the big players make demos now!
