The golden Milky Way is clearly visible beautifully above the dark skies of the Sahara desert in Morocco. The clearest skies I’ve ever experienced.
The Milky Way, andromeda and a shooting star are visible from the banks of loch Morlich in the cairngorms national park. The ancient pine trees can be seen growing on the beach in the dark.
The Milky Way glowed through the delicate pink of the Aurora northern lights in the cairngorms national park in August 2024. Such a unique and beautiful scene, one I’ll remember for a long time.
Photographing the Milky Way has to be one of my favourite subjects.
Seeing the sheer number of stars combining together into the milky glow just makes me feel both insignificant and significant at the same time.
