100%. I sometimes think about doing a follow-up piece to this. The way the current admin has used pop culture references to frame its actions on social media doesn’t feel incidental, it feels like vital load-bearing cultural context.

It’s a purposeful double standard, the kind conservatism in general but fascism specifically thrives on.
