The most notable thing to me is the trailer having the most Ratchet and Clank music since Tools.

I hadn't played any of them until like 2017. It was close to the release of the remakes. Wanted to like Spyro 1 more than I did, but the remake remedied most of my qualms with it.

When I played Spyro 1 years ago, I found it to be kind of awkward to control and also the PS1 wobbles were kinda getting to me. Reignited feels much tighter to control. And also obviously lacks the wobbliness.

I've got no beef with achievement hunters, but at some point I think it's an unhealthy addiction.

2 of the 3 platinums I have are for Sly 1 and Sly 2, which you get just by unlocking all the vaults anyway (don't even need to do the time trials in 1.) The last one is for CTR NF, but doing everything in that game was just fun on is own merits.

Sonic games are uniquely frustrating because they feel like they should be right up my alley, but are instead incredibly flawed, frustrating experiences that actively hate you as a player.

It deserves it. Love that game. Also happy to see DMC HD in the top 10.

Shoutouts to the creator of Yakuza Restored, and shoutouts to the creators of Yakuza for such a fucking good game. God. Time has only made me love it more.

I could easily see someone less patient finding this to be tedious and game ruining. My takeaway was that it gave me a wholly unique experience that I cherish to this day. Little did teenage me know just how story heavy these games were LOL

Yakuza 1 was the first game I had ever imported, and as a result, the first game I ever played entirely in japanese (a language I still do not know) sifting through a gamefaqs guide from its original japanese PS2 release while playing the remaster on PS3.

The game is absolutely rough around the edges, and quite stiff compared to later entries, but I find dealing with and figuring out its quirks to be gratifying. They hadn't yet come up with a core foundation for subquests yet, but I find their implementation charming in this first entry.

It's been roughly a decade since I first played Yakuza and fell in love with it, so I figured it was about time for a replay. The game's turning 20 later this year, too so it feels appropriate.

I click on the discover tab and it's purely bummer american politics. I don't know where this site got the idea that I wanted to A: see that, and B: am american, but I will not be clicking discover again.

This is only really relevant because it's clustered between every other game in the series being on sale.

One of the true tragedies of remake culture is that companies will put a remaster of a game up on modern platforms and then never put it on sale because they want to sell some shiny new version.

Incredibly insane thing to not only post, but keep up despite the numerous people finding it in extremely poor taste.

It's such an interesting reframing of what you've seen throughout the game, but because of that it became shorthand for explaining why the game is so cool in the first place for a lot of people. I'd love to have experienced the game without knowing the twist, but what can you do.

Oh baby what a game. I finally went ahead and played it, and I beat it in basically a single sitting. Been a while since I enjoyed a game this much.

I don't think I've actively hated my time playing a game this much in years. Maybe not since the phantom pain. Uniquely frustrating yet infinitely bland and meandering game.

Check out this sleepy lil guy.

Played through The Room for the first time and it was pretty good. Some awkward controls, bad escort AI, and hilarious stock sound effects did little to hamper the immaculate atmosphere on display, and the games narrative was entertaining to untangle too. I just wish Henry had any characterization.
