I received my @modelsociety.bsky.social book!!!! I've only had a few minutes to flip through so far, but I will be spending some weekend time really appreciating all the hard work that went into this. It's giving me some drive to do better so maybe I can land in the next edition. ;)

On my third drive by past the #PetrifiedDunes in #ArchesNationalPark I had to pull over and get a shot. It's just too interesting to not give it a go, especially when we had a couple of clouds over the La Salle mountains in the background.

Balanced Rock in Arches National Park at sunset/blue hour, as the sunset was blocked clouds. Vivid blue sky and rich oranges and browns in the rock make for a nice contrast with a hint of the green shrubs in the foreground

We were hoping for an epic sunset for our one-chance at this location, and the clouds were giving promise, but as the sun lowered, the clouds to the west rolled in on the horizon and blocked it all. Such is the life of #landscapephotography. Exposure blend/HDR. #archesnationalpark #balancedrock #nps

And while I was prepared to do some astrophotography, we had also scheduled our trip during the week of the full moon, so... The night sky was stupid bright. :( as I mentioned above, I must return for a photo specific trip.

I quickly realized that 4 days for three parks was not gonna be enough because everywhere really only looks best at either or sunrise or sunset. No one has been there before and we just wanted to see everything. I will have to return specifically for a photography purpose someday.

I went to Utah and while we avoided the rain that soaked the midwest, we also avoided every single cloud in the sky. Lol (and any semblance of cell service). Anyway, here's my pano of the #GreenRiverOverlook in #Canyonlands #NationalPark

The fact I had to stare at this for literally 2 solid minutes (including rotating my phone) to figure what I was looking at ... I love this so much!! It's such a goal for me to look for ways to obfuscate the human form, and this is truly inspirational.

This is inspiring. Also, I will do a more thorough job of looking up judges up for (re)election in the future.

This is a composite image. I got the shot of the Arch then got kicked out by the rangers unfortunately. So I went somewhere else to shoot the blood moon. Stitched it all together almost how I had it in my head.

One of my absolute favorite things about bsky right now is that I'm discovering so many amazing fine art photographers. It really makes me want to hit a desert with a model. I'm actually going to Moab in a couple weeks, but no model unfortunately. Next time for sure. :)

A friend wanted to try some fun shooting positions and she did not disappoint. This is one of my favorites because it is almost surreal in its display, and it makes the viewer stop and really consider what they're seeing.

Hey @bsky.app, as I'm sure it's no surprise to you, users have lots of interests. What if we could save (bookmark, etc) the wonderful random posts we find to our own custom lists? Is that in the works, by chance?

I got the most flattering compliment after my pool match this week. I played a new-to-the-league guy, who after losing to me significantly said "your prowess really threw me off, wasn't expecting that." To be fair, I did play pretty darn well that night, and I could tell he was off. #poolplayer
