People do what you pay them to do.
You pay corporate executives to make stock prices go up, not to make better products.
You pay politicians to get re-elected, not to govern well.
You pay reporters to get a bigger audience, not to tell the truth.
And so forth.
Be aware of what you pay people to do

Because the state is subsumed by capitalist machinery and anything outside the gender binary is illegible to fascists. Forcing people to declare either M or F directly fucking contradicts the lived experiences of many.

It’s illegal to rank kids in children’s sports before age 12 in Norway. I find that fascinating. I wonder how many American children got put off from sports because of the results-focused culture.

Meanwhile, American winter Olympic sports are essentially talent shows for rich kids.

I wonder if the DC proximity elevates Virginia’s “solid income” similar to Maryland.

A great read (if you can get past the AI). I’ve mused about this concept myself. One thing they leave out is the transparency of knowing each player and coache’s contract and salary. There’s a cap limit that generally expands each year. Would be cool if the workplace did this too.
