Went to my Writer's Critique Group after being absent for a few weeks. Wrote something as a writing exercise, just to get some words on a page. Got some good feedback about it. Saw some new faces there, too, which is always exciting.

It was just locker room talk.

Got a Netflix subscription to keep myself distracted from constant anxiety over reading the news every day.

I watched the first season of Wednesday. It was great! I love most of the characters and the sets. I also loved their interpretation of the Addams Family, and Uncle Fester in particular.

"The fuck did he do NOW?!" - Me, every morning for the past two weeks.

Woke up to no water in my apartment this morning, but it's fixed now. What a great start to my week.

I asked my doctor to increase the dosage on my anti-anxiety meds. I am trying to remain calm in the wake of our wonderful president's chaotic decisions.

I expect to start getting large medical bills again if Medicaid is gone.

First laugh I've had all day!

When I was a kid, I'd sometimes chase fireflies at night. I miss them.

I've thought about running Gurps Doctor Who at GenCon this year, but am unsure if I know enough Doctor Who lore to pull it off.

I am too stressed out right now to write.

What if...?

Odd questions for friends that suffer from depression- Does your depression tend to manifest during a certain time of day?

I'm just now noticing that I tend to be depressed in the morning/noon, but my feelings improv as it goes into the afternoon and night.

About to head out to a small meetup of old college friends, also working on writing projects of their own. The weather kept us from meeting the last couple of weeks.

A lot of my friends are preparing to leave Facebook because of Zuck's announcements. I've always treated FB like a phone book, it's where most of my friends are. I can't leave yet, because most of my social life is on there. I'm trying to use bluesky more, but it's difficult (low engagement so far).

This coming week I have to actually get out of the apt for two Dr.s appointments. And my Writer's Critique group, unless it's cancelled again.

All this snow just makes me sleepy.

Over the weekend, its 1. Go get groceries, 2. board games w/ friends, and 3. New? writer's group with old college friends (I hope it works out and lasts).
