Yeah, and extra bonus is I recently got my brother to take the one from ‘14 home. So now my SIL and nieces have it. SIL wants to learn, and my eldest niece will be just the right age to do her first pillow or tote bag when I visit next. Hoping to help them all along whenever the interest is there.

In ‘14 I found a nearly identical one but I couldn’t bring it with me to Australia because of voltage differences.

Today I found a used one for a very generous price, slightly different (better) model from what I had but the same generation. It runs perfectly.

Feels like things are back in order.

It’s nothing dramatic though. In ‘03 I bought a husqvarna sewing machine after saving up for about a year to buy it.

In ‘09 the GFC was doing its thing and I had to sell it to scrape together enough cash to fix my car for a long drive home.

This isn’t the most accurate description. Things were already very heated in the streets and this guy just took the lead on starting property damage. He didn’t start the riot he just tried to escalate it.

Fortunately not! It’s just a sad story in Canberra atm. For Joan, after all my researching dog allowed beaches, figuring out the water quality, getting her a swimming vest, and then waiting for the right weather and water quality… She doesn’t like to swim 😆

I didn’t have to dig hard for it. I searched for dog friendly beaches in Canberra and the page results had sufficient warnings. I didn’t even know blue green algae poisoning was a thing before I moved here and I only know what it is now because the government website is full of essential info.

I have no issues being critical of the Canberra government, but this mess with the dog dying from blue green algae poisoning being their fault is a bit much. See the screenshot of my apps? I ONLY have that swim guide app because the ACT government sufficiently warned me when I moved here.

Instagram has the best algorithm for me. It’s all cute animals, carpentry, architecture, fitness, and cooking. But every so often is some street food vendor making an overcooked leathery egg dish at 2x speed and I’m deeply upset.
