The legislative branch is the law making branch. Made up of senators and representatives these people described as being politicians. 150 years ago politicians made laws disarming groups they didn't trust because of race. US Gun control laws are actually rooted in jim crow racism.

Well ... O'Rourke for one.... . But in a way I do think I kind of agree with you in that practically no one is actually in favor of disarming everyone, the gun control argument is really an argument over which people or groops are/should be allowed by law to possess guns.
