i always found fathers boring in fiction, so this explains why i was so interested in vampire procreation (which i think is inherently incestuous but that's a take for s whole other thread) without even realising it...

and because vampires have one parent/maker, i would say this parent is a mother, because of the mechanics of vampire birth (they give life from their bodies, nurturing orally) and just thematically

okay wow, i haven't thought about it that way (because i *was* hit on the head with the mayfair lore and had a hard time recovering from it tbh), but it makes so much sense... overall i think figure of the mother is so important for TVC (including everything about akasha)

oh yeah, i agree... there are a few moments that i really need them to show with care... i was just honestly surprised that people would make definitive statements based on a montage of random scenes that wouldn't even be in the show for sure 😭
