With just one month to Election Day, I am honored to be the second candidate running for mayor ever to receive the endorsement of @jvpaction. Minneapolis is ready for a leader that will fight for human dignity, justice and freedom for everyone - no exceptions.

If you use the “code voters” option, the person distributing codes could track in a spreadsheet who is receiving which codes. Then in “Expert mode” there’s an option to disable anonymous voting. So you’d be able to match individual ballots to voter names based on their unique code.

For 7 years, Mayor Frey has lied. He lied about no-knock warrants and Amir Locke died. He lied and said there were only 27 unhoused people in the city—facts prove him wrong. He even vetoed the Uber/Lyft wage bill after vowing to support it. Minneapolis needs a leader, not a liar.

In this campaign, we have knocked on over 12,000 doors. These conversations are where my campaign priorities come from. I have heard from you about the need for an effective and compassionate response to homelessness, addressing climate change, and building a comprehensive public safety system. That is what is driving me. In these conversations, another issue has come up again and again. That issue is the genocide in Gaza. Ward 8 neighbor Zahra Gaal said, “It's important for me that Soren talks about Gaza because I need all candidates to support ending the genocide. I also believe that candidates should speak on our tax dollars that are funding and arming the IDF. I want all candidates, including local politicians, to take meaningful action to stop the genocide, support a ceasefire, and cut our tax dollars that are funding militaries/war.” As someone who has faced state-sanctioned violence, I can not be silent as the Israeli state, aided by the United States, commits genocide in Gaza. The war must come to an immediate end, and food and aid must be allowed unfettered access to Gaza. We here in Minneapolis have little control over what happens in Gaza, but we do have control over what we do. The City of Minneapolis contracts with a company called Zen City, which is an Israeli security company. We must end this contract and refrain from contracting with Israeli security companies. That is what Ward 8 neighbors are asking of me, and it is the right thing to do.

This rhetoric extends beyond just right wing conservatives. The constant Islamophobic smears by Mayor Frey's PACs have consequences and are putting Senator Omar Fateh, his family and his campaign volunteers in danger.

Congratulations to UMN workers in Teamsters Local 320 for winning a tentative agreement!

Twin Cities DSA was proud to stand in solidarity with the striking workers by volunteering and joining workers on picket lines.

Anecdotally Fateh’s name recognition on the doors is way higher than the others, and the polling is confirming that. The “don’t forget to rank all three” message is for the people who are just starting to pay attention, not the highly informed bluesky user.

I am campaigning to make our park system serve all people in Minneapolis, a majority renter city. It’s time to hold the landlords accountable who are disrupting the democratic involvement of residents who need access to greenspaces the most: renters, young people, and communities of color

Today, I took legal action against a Mpls landlord who has been attempting to deny renters a choice in our upcoming election. Renters have the right to connect with the candidates, and John Wall has repeatedly blocked my campaign from reaching residents in his buildings.
