It is very sad we live in a time in our country where more than half of Americans either explicitly or through their complicity, support the dictatorial actions of Donald Trump. He is the demagogue our founding fathers warned against, and we’re all flailing in defending our republic.

It’s also a shame that this man has built a camp in the Everglades, forcing mostly non-criminals into it (criminal or not, human rights matter) and is on the Epstein list, yet most Americans are quiet. Silence is complicity. When “everyday” Americans feel his wraith, I fear it will be too late.

Being in Europe the last month, it’s both incredible and saddening just how much Jeffrey Epstein’s friend has tarnished the reputation of the United States. It’s tangible, from the “I will not visit the USA”, to the “how is this happening”, to the “maybe you shouldn’t return”. It’s a damn shame.

They’re planning on building a detention center for migrants in the middle of the fetid swamps of Florida.
