Before she arrived to DC, or made any demands, the GOP preemptively turned her identity into a political issue.

I have watched red state Democrats go to the mat for trans people over and over again without hesitation--much less losing their jobs--so no, I'm not sympathetic to corporate career politicians hoping to scapegoat trans people for their own failures.

I did my doctoral dissertation (1986) on the idea of a public informed by the press.

I'm not sure that idea survives this.
