all because a rule or points update decided nothing can surpass the IP holders current 'favorite bestest bois.' Or its a 'new codex cycle' and mine is last on the list.. and my old codex I bought a month prior is worthless. *coughtentheditioncough*

Maybe I'm just built different.. but I never once felt bad playing a ragtag 'defense force' with mid and bad mechs and getting my ass /beat/ in battletech.

40K? My time felt so wasted and disrespected when the army I spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars building/painting is trash-

When a game can make the above statements like that /true/.. you have Done Something Right (tm).

Is an example, in my mind, of abject failure of game design.

Because.. to my knowledge.. only #battletech does this. Every other game I have played.. be it #warhammer or some class based online game... if you aren't playing the 'meta' you aren't going to have a good time.

How often is it that a game has 'bad' units that are considered by and far absolute garbage.. but people play them anyways and don't even get mad when they die/get destroyed in combat? Like "I know this unit is shit, but I love it anyways and I will laugh maniacally when it dies in a ball of fire"
