Agree, 2026 will be crazy as everyone adapts. 2027 will be where we see how he shakes out. I do hope that McLaren will have another solid car to give him another shot, but if not (or they aren’t willing to play fair) that the field is a little more even so another team can compete

That’s true. I know Oscar doesn’t want to stay second fiddle forever. I just hope he can find a team that appreciates him and everything he does

I feel like, now that Horner and Marko are out, Red Bull can’t be quite as cursed now as it was. I don’t want Oscar to go, but if he does, then Red Bull makes some sense. The only issue would be if a seat were actually free - with the Racing Bulls team too, there’s a lot of competition for a slot.

Please no, I just need Ferrari to get it together so Charles doesn’t have to do that 😭 and Lewis has faced so much shit from them, it’s actually nuts. I get why he left Mercedes but whew, what a mess for him

Ferrari is FUMBLING their drivers and it’s so bad. Lewis writing them letters on how to improve the car, and they just ignored it?? And Charles is apparently thinking of leaving it’s that bad!!!

It just played out wrong and McLaren’s fuck ups didn’t help. But I’m hoping the new regs will help, since they seem to make a lot of things more driver-dependent and less automated. Oscar’s a good driver and I think he’ll be able to take advantage of that, as will Max and the Ferrari boys (🙏🏻 pls)

Me either 😭 I can concede that he’s a good driver, at least once he got it together this season, but he’s put his foot in his mouth enough times for me to not like him at this point

I felt so bad for Kimi when he asked how much Lando won by. He literally went and apologized to Max!! 😭 I like Max but my husband’s a huge fan and he was so upset

And they had agreed that bad pit stops were part of racing, that was part of the Papaya rules! And those 3 points gave Lando the championship! It’s insane!

I don’t think the idea of rules is totally insane if they’re equally applied, they have 2 drivers. They just changed the terms to suit Lando, rules be damned

This was my first season, so I don’t know much about the past seasons, but I can understand why you aren’t a fan of the team as a whole. This year was a clusterfuck but if it’s been this bad previously, then I def understand the hate

Ohhhh my god, that was HORRIBLE. I’m an Oscar fan, absolutely not a McLaren fan. They absolutely failed him in favor of Lando, and while he’s a great driver, I think a lot of people have a sour taste in their mouth about McLaren after this season.

I’m not usually a crier, but Baku, especially after the team orders in Italy, was when I cried. I felt so bad when they showed him watching from someone’s phone 😭

Oh, it was just heartbreaking! He did brilliantly and staying in contention until the end was a feat, especially with the way things played out with the team. But whew, what a nightmare 😭 I know he’s got plenty of seasons left in him but it’s still sad

He’s also my favorite driver as well 🫶🏻
