Even when working from home, my basement office only comes in two temperatures: too cold and too warm. And here I control the heat! You'd think it'd be better...

Not affiliated in any way, just a fan. Saratoga Peanut Butter Company has the most delicious peanut butter. Their seasonal Pumpkin Pandemonium is highly spiced and utterly wonderful in a PB&J. I buy it at the farmer's market, but yes, they ship. I am seriously looking forward to my lunch.

My brain is ping-ponging all over the place today, making it very difficult to settle down and post something. Say anything. I swear, I took my ADHD meds, and yet, I do not at all feel as if I did. My train of thought derailed before I even got out of bed, I swear. #ADHDlife

The sky was so beautiful this morning when I walked across campus to my office.

I cleaned my stainless steel travel mugs yesterday and they are SO SHINY. I always forget what color they are supposed to be on the inside, because tea stains them so swiftly.

Today is a work from home day, with a massage after the day job hours end. But also, how have six weeks passed since my last massage? Time. It's a very fast-flowing illusion these days.

Scraped together an hour for writing tasks.

Grabbed the notebook I needed and realized... it was not the notebook I needed. The one with all my notes in it.

In fact, I brought two notebooks with me, and neither of them are either of the two notebooks I need.

So much for that plan...

There are so many folks I wouldn't know, and fandoms I wouldn't have discovered, without LJ. It's a large part of how I found community among fandom. Sighs. I kind of miss those years, and as much as I love DW and PF, they aren't the same.

It is incredibly soft, warm, heavy, and comfy. It's like a weighted oversized hug.

It does!! And I'd crosspost to my old Livejournal, too, but the crosspost from DW has been broken FOREVER to there.

I don't usually go to IJ unless someone comments, I will admit.

I am so glad it's not just me.

Periodic required fire alarm check was unexpected and a great way to get an in-office wakeup call. I am most definitely AWAKE now.

Am I the only one who goes to grab a single serving bag of Skinny Pop popcorn and gets earwormed by Poison's Unskinny Bop? Just me? Sighs. Okay.

Last Thursday I wrote a blog post for the first time in what feels like forever.

How long has it been? Well... I normally post to four platforms and I totally forgot two of them at the time. Whoops!

Anyway, it's now up on:

Having one of those days. Watching my PC restart for an hour so far. Listened to the same PPT presentation with 4 videos to make sure I had fixed the crashing. Can’t move my Mac until it’s done backing up. Sighs.

And then I remember I hate myself on video, and editing is evil. Plus, what even is free time??

But it keeps making me think that I see people who are fit, and people who are just starting journeys to fitness. I rarely see people like me who are older, stalled, and simply doing their damnedest to stay active and moving despite not being ripped. It tempts me.

The algorithms have decided that since I am interested in food/cooking and in high protein/lower sugar recipes, I must love fitness influencers. I've managed to tune it to GOOD folks (ones who're reasonable and recognize food is fuel, NOT inherently evil, and yes, we need things like preservatives).

Second, getting the highlights done plus a cut is a 3.5 hour appointment. You heard that right. It takes that long.

That said, my person does a PHENOMENAL job and I cannot WAIT. Going back to teal/green tones again after a summer of purple.

Finally made an appointment to get my hair cut and highlighted in a week and a half. My last appointment? Early February... whoops. My hair got LONG.

Why did it take so long? Well, first of all, I have very curly hair, so I get it cut after 3 months at the earliest... I trim my own bangs.

We have a 10k week every month as part of the WWM writing server. This month I decided that y'know, ANYTHING counts as a stretch compared to my usual. Specifically, I need to make a writing/editing plan AND I need to write a blog post.

But really. Lately, anything is a stretch. #goals #writinggoals
