Yeah I was kind of disenchanted with the Atelier series' move to 3D for a while 🫤 Escha and Lodgy got me back in though and since then I've also played Ryza 1

I'm most interested in the remake of Atelier Marie. I'd love to see them return to sprites on 3D backgrounds but I doubt they ever would

Wow! Mana Khemia is great and all Atelier Iris games too! SH Covenant is still one of the weirdest JRPGs I've ever played in the absolute BEST way, adore it! Soul Nomad was great and Unicorn Overlord got me thinking about it again. I rented Suikoden III and is still a game I dream of playing through

- BatBoy is a lot like Shovel Knight, really fun and fast paced
- Jack Moves I saw at PAX one year and loved the look of it
- Moonlighter I had bought a while back and bounced off, but with the sequel upcoming I've found new love for the OG

Gen 5 is such a mixed bag because it's arguably the best 2D gen but also has hands down some of the worst mons out there. It also has some of the best though too
