I'm guilty of getting my news online, but I also keep subscribing to print newspapers and magazines, buying books on paper. We need those presses!

Not only that, they can just turn it off. And if there is no newspaper left with a printing press...

Why is it so important we save print?

What we publish online, if we are tech savvy and know how to go through proxy servers, can have the source obfuscated. But most end users reading it don't know how to hide our ip, so it's possible for someone to know what we're looking at.

Yesterday I learned that the Newark Star-Ledger will no longer be publishing a print newspaper, making them (I think) the first to become digital only. Print is a dying industry, but I beg of you - don't let it die. It is imperative for our safety!
