This #fossil species has 3 eyes, spiny claws, wing-shaped swimming flaps, and a unique abdomen-like body region.
If you happen to see a friend across the street, odds are you might raise an arm and wiggle your hand to say hello. Cuttlefish apparently do something similar—and that’s not the only arm gesture they use to communicate.

So some extraordinary news came out today! We have received footage for the first time of a colossal squid in it's natural habitat! I remember watching the footage live and being in chat saying "Could this be Mesonychoteuthis hamiltoni"? And glad to hear it was!!

Truly one of the greatest honors of my life to today present Dugie Ross an honorary Doctor of Science at the University of Edinburgh.
Dr Ross left school young, built his own museum, discovered some of the first Scottish dinosaurs & made Skye into Scotland's Dinosaur Island.
Congrats Dr Dugie!
