portals to happiness IV. One night, your dog follows you through the portal and becomes a bird. You never knew he wanted to learn how to fly. When you wake up the next morning, you hold him high above your head and swoop and swerve throughout your apartment together, his tail thumping wildly all the while. V. You hold so much love within you. You could tear open the universe if you wanted to, or hold up the sky so that other beings might live within it. To love, to love. If only you could hold yourself. I think you will, someday.

and if the angels were trans too? what then? The Angels told me their names. And their pronouns. All googolplex of them and then some. And I told them mine. I was happy then, to exist. To be. To have emerged from the ocean with both a shape and form that were my own. We were a transcendence then. Feeling, together. Experiencing, together. Being, together. And always, always changing.
