Advice like this makes me so angry. It ignores the role institutions and policymakers (and men) could and should be playing to address inequities, devalues care work, normalizes the exploitation of women, and reinforces the illusion that we don't need a real social safety net. 1/

that feeling when a student defended successfully their ba thesis 2 years after finishing their degree, having to go back to care for their mother during covid, postponing the defence because of the volunteering in the post-earthquake help(Türkiye) and doing it online because Schengen visa has ended

Earlier there were some options that allowed narrowing search according to date of publication or validity or (what is really important) by country! As far as I see now you have everything divided into networks but it's not friendly in terms of interdisciplinarity or variety of goals...

I am curious if anyone else has similar feelings... I really benefited from h-net a lot earlier, both as an applicant to various CfA or CfP, and as an "event advertiser" myself. Now I feel lost. Nothing can be found, or "by foot" only ... why???? 😵‍💫
