Watched three movies today so I’m in my happy place. Fell asleep to ‘Overlord’ (cause I’m sick, the movie was, good even), ‘The Monster Squad’ and currently watching ‘The Faculty’

Huge improvement on the films last week.

I’m usually pretty forgiving of horror films in particular but this hasn’t been a strong week for my picks. Skeleton Key was the only movie my wife picked and it was easily the strongest and I was torn between a 2.5 & 3

I’m on the opposite side the spectrum, all horror, 3/4 duds and an alright. Gotta take big swings if you want a home run though.

We watched ‘The Devils Rejects’ as the 5th of our October movies and it was way worse than I remember it! I think some of Zombie’s cinematography is really interesting and it’s probably more about having fun making the films but the writing couldn’t have been much worse and S.M. Zombie can’t act.

Dilly is passing the eye test so far this game. Offensively.

Day 4 of our horror movie marathon and my wife chose “The Skeleton Key” and her second category was ‘Religious Psychos’.

Kate Hudson was a little bland and the film was kinda slow but it accomplished what it needed to and was sufficiently entertaining. Solid spooky ending! Soft recommend!

Tonight to continue my horror train we watched ‘Exorcist II: The Heretic’ as part of my ‘Terrible Twos’ series. And what a bunch of crap! Linda Blair was great but the movie around her was peeling off like wallpaper.

I was thrilled when something actually happened at the end. Don’t recommend!
