Transphobes seem to be perpetually confused by the difference between adjectives and nouns.

Sometimes writes code, not a coder. Sometimes plays games, not a gamer. Mostly harmless. She/her.
Transphobes seem to be perpetually confused by the difference between adjectives and nouns.

07.11.2025 19:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A scanned Supreme Court of the United States order, dated November 6, 2025, in the case Donald J. Trump, President of the United States, et al. v. Ashton Orr, et al., No. 25A319. The document discusses an Executive Branch policy requiring passports to display an individualโs biological sex at birth. The highlighted passage reads: โDisplaying passport holdersโ sex at birth no more offends equal protection principles than displaying their country of birthโin both cases.โ The Court grants the governmentโs application for a stay at this preliminary stage, reasoning that the government is likely to succeed on the merits and that the policy does not violate equal protection principles.
SCOTUS has granted a stay in Trump v. Orr, the trans passport case, meaning that the government will be able to once again deny gender marker changes to trans passport applicants.
This is a terrible decision with horrifying consequences for trans folks.

24.10.2025 14:04 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I really hope that's the case. I work for a regional state university, and it's scary to see big schools cave. We're already facing a budget crisis, and I shudder to think what'll happen if/when the Trump admin turns their attention on smaller schools.
23.10.2025 16:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0While compelled segregation is generally impermissible, failing to maintain sex-separated athletic competitions and intimate spaces can also violate federal law. Federally funded institutions that allow males, including those self-identifuing as "women," to access single-sex spaces designed for females-such as bathrooms, showers, locker rooms, or dormitories-undermine the privacy, safety, and equal opportunity of women and girls. Likewise, permitting males to compete in women's athletic events almost invariably denies women equal opportunity by eroding competitive fairness. These policies risk creating a hostile environment under Title VII, particularly where they compromise women's privacยก safety, or professional standing, and can violate Title IX by denying women access to the full scope of sex-based protections in education. To ensure compliance with federal law and to safeguard the rights of women and girls, organizations should afรผrm sex-based boundaries rooted in biological differences.
The referenced document contains this paragraph under "What constitutes unlawful segregation".

7. Both Parties affirm the importance of and their support for civil rights. UVA affirms its commitment to complying with federal civil rights law and agrees to apply Civil Rights Law internally according to the Department of Justice's "Guidance for Recipients of Federal Funding Regarding Unlawful Diserimination" of July 29, 2025, so long as that Guidance remains in force and to the extent consistent with relevant judicial decisions.
My worry is about this paragraph in the agreement.

Somehow, I don't think it'll go well for them. Patients will lose trust, and Trump's demands won't stop.

It's intentional. It's LGB without T.
Fenway may think caving to Trump will protect LGB patients by throwing trans youth under the bus, but Trump will come for LGB healthcare next.
Even though gender identity and sexual orientation are different things, their political oppression is the same.
