What the Graham Platner affair seems to show is that the left is mostly done with cancel culture. Platner is giving red-brown vibes which are not cool with me, but I'm glad that the leftist cancel complex seems to be coming to an end.

I can't help but think that Hasan may end up being the next Russell Brand when it comes to the left and celebrity. There's a lot of things about that guy that many leftists just sweep under the rug(as was done with Brand by the likes of Mark Fisher and others).

What is far more important then political organization is having a social imaginary. It is the foundational upstream to the further downstream that is politics. Right now the right has a newer and more effective social imaginary than the left.

Modernity and The Enlightenment should not be seen as synonymous in my view. The former represents a totality of categorical control and rationalized systems of domination. The latter was an authentic break from a christian iron curtain with very Luciferian tendencies.

A Biden presided ceasefire will always be a counterfactual.

Providing that this ceasefire holds, this is a huge L for the centre-left Zionist Biden dickriders. Ultimately it was Trump(loathsome that he is) that presided over a ceasefire. It was Biden/Blinken who facilitated a very plausible genocide. The Dearborn non Biden voters don't seem so wrong now.

The fact is that Gillis' world view essentially requires a scaling controlling power apparatus that oversees particularistic prejudices. Preston's world view allows parochial power structures to operate unmatched. The particular is part of pluralism but so is some remnant of universalism.

When one thinks of the positions of William Gillis and Keith Preston respectively you see equal and opposite flaws coming from both. Gillis is a Staunch moral universalist who does not accept that some messy particulars will simply be and Preston gives in too much to the problems of particularism.

One of numerous things that makes contemporary liberal/leftist definitions of racism erroneous is that they tie being anti-politically black to being anti-black as such(it isn't) I am very much anti-politically black(and white, brown yellow etc) because I am ANTI-POLITICAL.

A great deal of Kaczynski's psychological diagnosis of leftism involves Maoism and all its political pathology.

Demaoification will definitely have to be a propagated goal of post-left radicalism going forward. It starts with simply not hanging around or associating with anyone that engages in clear Maoist derived political psychology and orientation.

The illiberties are coming from Western loyalist reactionaries and their christo-authoritarian cultural friends. Chuds like Sargon and others like him that Harris helped to hellspawn into existence with his reactionary centrist shitliberalism.

It's wild to me that Sam Harris has never been held intellectually accountable for his shit takes and projections on Islam going back 20 years. He promised us illiberties to come from islamic immigration. A quarter century in and it isn't Muslims that are driving Western illiberty.

The 1970s was a great sociocultural decade but a horrible political-economic decade. It was the decade that the Western Maoist disease took hold. An actual toxic mind virus. The economic shocks of Nixon and US peak oil to start the decade also did not help.

That whole psychology remains embedded within leftist(and liberal) intelligentsia. Something has to come out of history and just KO it and send it to history's phantom zone. Maoism essentially succeeded Stalinism and it has yet to be vanquished. It remains the last vestige of Vanguard Marx ideology

To the degree that leftism can at least improve and be the best that it can be it will have to cleanse itself of all traces of the Maoist menace. The disease that began with all that red book retardation has never really been fully cured. Some of those fawning students from the 70s became teachers.

As I've said before I consider work to be(among other things) labour trafficking. I agree with Bob Black that work is forced labour. If work is labour trafficking then education is learning trafficking.

It needs to be pointed out time and time again that the only reason ANCAPism is a thing is because it developed during the recovery period of greater libertarian/anarchist ideology. IF classical @ had held together it would have gatekept that silly ideology from ever becoming associated with @

I can see a similar fate befalling the ancaps. I don't see how that ideology lasts much longer with so many Trumpist turncoats.

The black and gold libertarians who ended up supporting Trump is very reminiscent of the classical libertarians who throw their support to Lenin and the USSR. The classical anarchist movement basically lost its prime for the rest of the 1920s and was done by the time WW2 started.

In the case of TLJ, that movie has its own cultish simps that are in many ways as bad as Snyder cultists

Star Wars really could use its James Gunn right now. The Disney Star Wars sequel trilogy was to SW what Snyder, Nolan and Goyer were to Superman. There's broad similarities between Man Of Steele and The Last Jedi. Both were technically well made movies but both were very fan divisive.

It's interesting to compare McKenna to someone like Daniel Schmachtenberger. The latter is very much on that pessimistic kick when it comes to the supposed coming of AGI. AGI is to Schmachtenberger what McKenna was the the singularity. To me it's all erroneous eschatological thinking.

My feeling with AI/LLM/Machine Learning etc is that the pessimistic fears are overblown in a way that matches the optimism towards the internet in the late 20th century. Recall people like Terrence McKenna and their projections and ideas of what the internet would/should be vs what it became.
