My parents were educators. We never worried about $ but didn’t live beyond their income. They also never talked about $ so I had to learn some hard lessons. I now have a monthly budget plan I stick to. I prioritize what I care about and invest when I have income. Knowing my $ relives so much stress.

We’re about the same age. I don’t get to retire early because my marriage and divorce were a financial disaster. Since then, I’ve since been laid off 3 times, totaling over 2 years of no income. I still paid off my car I have zero debt. I rent because houses are $. I know where every penny goes.

There is a Thai food place I go to occasionally that starts their spice at 0 so when I say 2, it’s actually a 3. Everywhere else starts at 1. I keep forgetting because I only go a couple times a year. 🥵

That’s so stressful. I hope you are able to sleep soundly and wake up like nothing happened.

I think people don’t want to take the time to dissect the info they hear. It’s easier to share disinformation than say it’s an “opinion” when proven wrong. I cut someone off because he shared some racist “facts” then didn’t take it down even after admitting it was wrong. It fit his core belief so 🤷‍♀️.

If you work in a medical facility, or are visiting one, wear a damn mask. I’ve been seeing Drs, lab tests, ultrasound and you’d be shocked how few people were wearing them. The phlebotomists put them on because of me.

I’m now sick but vaxxed for flu, covid and pneumonia so 🤞this isn’t too bad.
