Perth suburb Mosman Park extends from the river to the sea.

I wonder if Albanese is thinking of changing its boundaries?………..

One of the enduring mysteries of modern Australia is how Kyle Sandilands became a thing

When Oz Zionists declare support for the bombing of Iran, declaring the Iran regime to be genocidal terrorists, they never see Israel’s genocide in a similar way…..

Funny that.

To input nearly all practices, we need training & exams

Surgeon
Electrician
Architect
Bus driver
etc

But to run a country; to hold awesome & extreme power & control, you only need to percolate through a political system

It’s crazy

Presidents & PMs are given no life/history/psych training

None

What can happen to a centre left government party when it decides to follow the racists to the populist right, forgetting that it doesn’t have a mortgage on the left

They have strong principles but struggle to navigate a pathway because main stream media is SO vehemently opposed.

They also struggle to define a workable compromise.

I don’t mean they need to sell out - but they DO need to define workable options.

This! or nothing, is not a practical approach.

I’ve voted Labor my whole voting life, starting in 1972.

But……

Can the Greens build a sufficiently competent progressive policy base to become the party of government in Oz?

Do they have the vision and the leadership?

There are millions of votes for them if they do……

A past-imagined Labor-Greens alliance now seems a complete impossibility.

Perhaps it always was.

Labor is really intrinsically conservative, with huge & deeply-imbedded vested interests.

Sometimes ya can feel a bit of a fool for ever imagining stuff…….

Indeed

As One Notion forges a far-Right path, New Oz Tories follow like blowflies to rotting meat

ALP strategy seems to be to drift right to fill the centre-right vacuum left by NOT

The Greens retain their progressive principles but fight a hostile RW press

What a shit-show race to the bottom!

My posts mainly go through to the keeper but my most recent comments about my huge disappointments with “modern Labor” have attracted dozens of likes.

Does this represent a bad sign for Labor?

Are they gonna get a giant shock at the next election?

Can they turn the trend?

With the LNP lurching further to the right, the ALP is now Oz-Tory Lite. 😫

I accept I’m merely a distant observer - but do Americans fully understand that Trump & his handlers won’t allow the midterms to be a loss?

Do Americans see just how tight his stranglehold is becoming?

Do they know how little time they have left?

Successive paragraphs

“Endometriosis affects estimated 1 in 7 (people assigned female at birth.)”

“Ms Furiosi was worried the actions of 1 doctor could adversely impact the hundreds of thousands of (women) with endometriosis”

Are the bracketed words interchangeable?

Not cynical - Genuine query

“Still considering?”

The moral compass of New Labor - aka Oz Tory Lite, is clearly quite loose and about to fall off the wagon…..

Our changing English language:

Cross the line

Yesterday:

“To behave in a way that is considered unacceptable, inappropriate, or offensive, often by violating established boundaries of social, professional, or ethical conduct.”

Today:

What can I get away with?!

Ethelred the Unready, ineffective chaos

Eadwig "All-Fair", chaotic reign, the splitting of his kingdom

Edward the Martyr, political leadership tussles, murdered

Harold Harefoot, brutality, little success

Harthacnut, unpopular, ineffective, died suddenly at a wedding

Albanese: His legacy??

Apropos very little:

In December 1013 King Swein Forkbeard of Denmark conquered England.

Ethelred the Unready fled to Normandy, but Swein died in February 1014, so he returned to the throne and drove out Swein's son Cnut.

I wonder if Cnut was a nice bloke or not?!😉

No one spoke as we ordered our drinks

I was conscious of our Oz accents amongst the soft country brogue of Somerset

Pints? was the question…..

Er yes, I replied

My bride spoke: Smaller for me please

That’d be a half pint, said the banjo player

😂 That broke the ice……

1975 we were in England

I’d just bought some Fry boots

Not quite cowboy but close

Out hiking in Somerset, we entered a little pub

As we walked across the wood floor in our 70s ponchos, boots banging on the boards, the banjo player stopped

All eyes were on me

It felt like a cowboy movie……
