it’s bizarre but also just….gross. it the same unfortunate hypocrisy I’ve become so aware of.

to go from being so adamantly opposed, even angry, at the prospect people are “only seeing you as an organ”, but then once that had been explained (“no, actually, we don’t think body parts are the defining factors of gender identity or expression at all”) to doing an about face and turning into -

and it just baffles me because like….obviously the point was missed completely. plenty of people have exhaustively explained the point of inclusive/broad terminology and anyone who bothers to actually listen will actually learn something.

the part that’s really baffling is the complete switch up…

this of course always became even “worse” when inclusive/broad terminology was used anywhere (like “people who menstruate” / “people with breasts” etc). They’d go on tirades about how, somehow, this was both erasing women and reducing them down to things like lactating or having a uterus…

it’s wild tbh… back when I was young, all the TERFs around me were SO UPSET about “women being defined by/reduced down to organs or parts” and there was so much vocal uproar FROM RELIGIOUS ANTI-TRANS PEOPLE about how it was “gross” and “demeaning” to define women that way….

And she’s usually the one running/looping xD

something that’s always great is seeing a kid wearing a Minecraft shirt/gear of some kind and telling them you like it. they get so happy.

it’s especially great when they’re like “it’s Minecraft!” and you can tell them “I like Minecraft too” and they get even more excited.

I miss everything about the QSMP, the collaboration and the silliness, and of course the language/cultural sharing. it was an amazing time for Minecraft/gaming community, especially me during a difficult time. It brought so much joy. But I don’t want a reset 🤞🏻.

I think it’s another case of people who say “i don’t like ANY changes to websites i use” combined with people who have a weird hate for all types of security features/fraud prevention….(reminds me of people being mad about Minecraft chat reports because they want to use slurs “privately” 💀)

years ago (when i was a teenager, so i can’t remember the source for the life of me) there was something that came out about academy voters outright saying essentially “I never watch the nominations in the animation category. If it says “Disney” that’s what i vote because my kids probably like it.”
