I was just recommending it to a close friend. I don't know of a great audiobook version, but many of the best things in this book are in giant tables that it really helps to see, anyway.

If you are interested in #California politics, the book you should read but probably haven't is Susan Lovenburg's history of the organization California Forward. You can just download the book... for free. But if you're interested in the state's recent political history, it's a great book:

Any time you are looking at total and independent numbers, it is really important to make the same graphs for Republicans and Democrats. The partisan self-and-opponent descriptions provide a lot of useful information about how to read these.
