It is DANGEROUS and DECEPTIVE to market or sell a moped (which is a type of motor vehicle that requires a drivers license to legally operate) as an electric bicycle (a type of bicycle that does not require a license to operate).

Car crashes are the 2nd leading cause of death for kids in the U.S., and the rate of fatal crashes (per person) goes up (linearly) with how much we drive (per person). A "traditional highway bill" that makes that problem even worse than it already is would be deeply immoral.

If a two-wheeled electric motor-powered bike goes over 20 mph without pedaling, it's not an electric bicycle. It's a motor vehicle and it requires a license to operate.

Kids caught riding mopeds without a license can be ticketed.

"Zombie" cars are just one of the traffic-increasing effects of practical robot car technology.

What Will Replace DART if Cities End Their Contracts? Two cities allowing voters to elect to leave DART in May have offered microtransit systems as an alternative. They're flawed.

Microtransit is a threat to public transportation, not its savior.

Case in point: In Dallas, wealthy suburbs are using microtransit as an excuse to ditch DART, the regional transit system.

The Washington Post story today on pedestrian fatalities again leans into larger vehicles as a major cause but we were at least glad to see this paragraph in the article (although you have to dig deep in the article to get to it).
