There are 9 squares - 4 contain photos of bicycle seats, with the remaining 5 showing the beautiful head and face of a grey greyhound with a white stripe going from the top of their head to the tip of their nose.
Hats off to whoever did this (and the beautiful model).

2026 can be the year you resolve to drive less. Bike, walk, roll, use public transit. Invite others to join you.
Even just replacing some trips can have huge impacts!
There seems to be some disagreement about whether there are *some* people who are a legitimate target of government violence.

It is ok to not watch the videos of violence. It is ok to claim your peace today.
We need you in the future. You and your energy and your caring heart.
Houston, Kansas City, Bentonville, San Jose, Detroit, MI; and San Francisco may not appear to have much in common
However, they all are committed to the same sou: permanently reducing or removing car traffic on some of their streets

Carrboro (NC), take note
So smart to rebrand the "Reconnecting Communities" program as "repairing" American infrastructure, by reimagining things like downtown highways as people-first places that can address housing shortages, create jobs, and more. This shouldn't be partisan; it's just good policy.

Cars are now being programmed to violate traffic rules. What could go wrong?

What is the worst transportation idea of 2025?

Since even the police are confused about the difference, it's pretty understandable that basketball players might be too.

4.7 billion hours is apparently ~536,530 years lost to congestion
According to NHTSA data, in 2022 motor vehicle crashes led to 1,522,463 years of lost life for all ages
3x the lost time due to lives cut short than to people sitting in traffic
This is why we need to prioritize #SafetyOverSpeed
Bike trail wish list! @capegazette.bsky.social
(OK so we're not sure about the later ones but the Milton spur and a better canal crossing? 💯%!)

It is DANGEROUS and DECEPTIVE to market or sell a moped (which is a type of motor vehicle that requires a drivers license to legally operate) as an electric bicycle (a type of bicycle that does not require a license to operate).
21.11.2025 22:53 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Car crashes are the 2nd leading cause of death for kids in the U.S., and the rate of fatal crashes (per person) goes up (linearly) with how much we drive (per person). A "traditional highway bill" that makes that problem even worse than it already is would be deeply immoral.

If a two-wheeled electric motor-powered bike goes over 20 mph without pedaling, it's not an electric bicycle. It's a motor vehicle and it requires a license to operate.
Kids caught riding mopeds without a license can be ticketed.
"Zombie" cars are just one of the traffic-increasing effects of practical robot car technology.

Microtransit is a threat to public transportation, not its savior.
Case in point: In Dallas, wealthy suburbs are using microtransit as an excuse to ditch DART, the regional transit system.
The Washington Post story today on pedestrian fatalities again leans into larger vehicles as a major cause but we were at least glad to see this paragraph in the article (although you have to dig deep in the article to get to it).

Remember all the hype about how Uber and Lyft would allow people to live car-free?
Well, it turns out ridehail has no discernible impact on car ownership at all.

A really interesting new study showing that the smaller the area at which we plan for development, the more restrictive policies become.
