After he became the god of change he sought ways to become an over deity and left the sphears all together making his own called Ma'thral the mask was broken when a mortal who sought to replace him struck it with an artifact from outside his sphear, this revealed the fact Khrosis is not any deity.

He was given a mask by Mystra to keep his form together several years later after he helped one of mystras seven daughters with a plague. After a short Stent of servitude to a dracolich he wondered through the sphears again eventually finding the remains of a dead god and becoming the god of change.

This is Khrosis, an over deity in my D&D world Ma'thral, he is also known as the changing one. Khrosis was once an apprentice to a powerful mage named Karsis before his folly, after Karsis folly he wondered the sphears in search of a place to belong, eventually his human form fell apart.
