Was itching to make something. Decided to finally open up the PlayDate and see how fast I could get a loop going. Took about 6 hours. Pulp is a nice little tool, took a bit to understand some of the limitations, but definitely great to just dive in with.

The situation in LA makes me incredibly sad. Someone is going to get killed soon, and it would not have been necessary. There are so many other ways we can solve problems - ratcheting up violence and using force isn’t the answer.

There’s a fun game in here but not in its current form.

I find four words that do have a connection. Oh sorry, that’s not the connection we decided is part of this set.

If I get a connection and it’s not the green…it makes me feel like I’m missing something obvious

Every time I play the NYT connections game I think about how unfun it is. It feels designed to make players feel dumb rather than making you feel smart.

Same - it feels like the whole thing is talking about how everyone is chasing gold to get rich, rather than talking about more systemic forces at play. I don’t know - maybe the article is just trying to talk about observations

Finally took the time to progress my Palia account to enjoy Elderwood with everyone else tomorrow. Can’t wait for everyone to get to experience all the new things - and to welcome all the new players!

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m definitely ready to replay Oblivion. Hopefully they tweaked the leveling system, because at 100 hours it became impossible

Our marketing team does an awesome job on these captures. I was worried how hard it’d be to get certain gameplay goals communicated, but damn they did it. There’s so many details put into this trailer ❤️

And don’t get me started on Tetra Master. I lost over 20 “battle” rounds in a row that had equal chances of succeeding. Other than buying the strategy guide, how would you figure it out

Early abilities use enemy type damage bonuses. However, unless I’m mistaken, there’s no real way to find out enemy types until much later in the game

The tutorial appears almost 2 hours in, and is a conversation that is basically the entire game manual.

One of the first battles in the game introduces darkness side effects. On the surface, disabling melee really forces learning status effects, but at the same time that’s your default damage option.

Currently replaying FFIX for the first time in like 20 years. This game is so unfriendly, I feel bad if this was someone’s first entry into Final Fantasy

I certainly get it, if someone is willing to pay for a slightly altered package of random materials, then you do it. But I have a feeling the people paying aren’t doing it out of love or enjoyment on that purchase
