celebrated my birthday a day early yesterday since it’s on a weekday this year… we went for a nice walk, got brunch (and this funny chocolate ice cream cake), and played some games!! i usually feel like i can’t relax much on sundays but this one was surprisingly peaceful…

that world is Too Damn Huge for pearl abyss's legally distinct mr. clive final fantasy and his two friends. even for singe-player open world standards. i get why they changed it, and i still hope it does well!!! but i still yearn to be a little guy in a big world. so i have to wait for dokeV.....

as a former bdo player the more i look at crimson desert the more i can tell it was originally designed as bdo's spiritual successor, down to the territory node/worker systems... i'm a little sad they switched it from the mmo concept. i would've liked to make a boomerang-surfing shai in that world.

ever since the last arcadion tier came out my brain keeps processing the phrase “i’m standing” and other varieties with the blink 182 flourish of the xtremes theme. i dunno if a raid theme has gotten so ingrained in my head since scream’s “say goodnight”

me, activated, breaking into a singsong blink 182-esque voice: “HE’S STANDING!! HE’S STANDING!! HE’S STANDING!!”

this is just a piece of the song, and i like it a lot but i'm going back and forth on whether or not i'll actually use it... it is at least a nice peaceful one. i do like making nice peaceful ones.

i had no idea the character you make had a preset personality though so you can imagine my surprise when the most badass nun in the fantasy convent is given an anime girl protagonist voice and labeled "princess." i'm still not sure how i feel about it but it is a little funny.

i finished up with the monhun stories demo yesterday... it's quite cute and i really enjoy the visual style but i don't know if it's $69.99 levels of "i enjoyed it." maybe one day on sale though... i made an attempt at one of my ocs in there and she didn't look half bad in monhun world.

i'm generally not too social online these days... there are so few people/circles that i feel comfy chatting with and the idea of potentially losing the few i do have is a little infuriating. so i will save my subscription money and buy myself an ice cream with it instead. get yourselves ice creams.

dude at this rate maybe it's better to go to the stationery store and start a sketchbook drawing circle with my friends where we all draw pictures of our ocs in it and mail it to each other

we shoveled the driveway and made a snow bird. ryan named him “yukitori” because it sounds a little like “yakitori.”

it’s snowing in the city today so i took a few short walks around the neighborhood and i feel like all of my hp and sp have been restored… i love snow…….
