Since its inception in 2014, nearly every community across the county has had a millage-funded project: 116 projects, totaling nearly $45 million, with another 18 projects in the queue if (when!) the millage is renewed in 2026.

For nearly 17 years, as a member of CATA's Board of Directors (8 as Chair), I have worked to build a seamless, multimodal transit system across our region. This millage, and the current partnership between CATA & EATRAN, are hugely important steps toward accomplishing that goal.

Why Police Traffic Stops Are Dangerous and Ineffective | ACLU Millions of drivers are pulled over every year for minor violations like broken taillights or tinted windows. Data shows these stops rarely make roads safer, and instead lead to racial disparities, violence, and loss of trust in police.

Trump pushes an end to medical care for transgender youth nationally The White House plans to bar hospitals that treat transgender children and youth from getting any Medicare and Medicaid payments. The move would affect trans youth who have private insurance, too.

This is an extreme and needless intrusion of politics between tens of thousands of families and their doctors.

We will always fight for the freedom of all transgender youth to be themselves and access the health care they need.

ICE Detains British Media Commentator Sami Hamdi, who often speaks against Israel, was in the United States on a speaking tour. The Department of Homeland Security said his visa had been revoked.

While on a speaking tour in the U.S., Sami Hamdi had his visa revoked and was detained by ICE allegedly because of his pro-Palestine advocacy.
