White ceramic mushrooms with watercolor-effect glazes in hues of blue, purple, teal, and green. All six ceramic mushroom sculptures sit on a distressed wooden table top with a background of draped white linen.
These sculptures were inspired by a year of the most amazing displays of fungi exploding from the forest floors like I'd never seen before. All different kinds, all different sizes. There was something symbolic about it.

Two ceramic cups with a wavy, stylized woodgrain pattern that adds a slightly raised texture beneath the smooth matt glaze. The cups are a soft off-white colour with a subtle speckle that comes from the clay. The pattern lines are dark blue-black. One cup sits slightly raised on a birch round. The backdrop is a warm dark brown clay stained canvas and the table top is dark wood.
These ones are called thumblers and they are a lovely tactile experience. They have a curved indent for a comfy thumb grip & the stylized woodgrain texture is slightly raised beneath the soft matt glaze.

A stand of sculptural ceramic birch tree vases sit on a wooden table with a few sprigs of multicolored baby's breath. There are a few sprigs of flowers in a couple of the vases as well. The backdrop is a brown wall and white linen. The birch bark texture on the tree vases includes birch polypore fungi and woodpecker holes. The branches of the trees are hollow allowing for stems to be placed in the ends, effectively bringing life to the sculptures.
We've become WAY too good at dreaming up dystopian nightmares. I'm desperately tired of those plotlines... If you were to imagine an ideal world, how would it look/feel? How would we structure our societies? Our cities? How would we relate with our environments? What would we be free to create?

A curvy wheel-thrown mug made of white stoneware clay. It's got a functional rabbit sculpture handle. On the body of the mug is a hand-painted moon motif nestled between two sprigs of sage green leaves. The design on the mug is accented with white-gold metallic overglaze to create a crescent shape on the moon and an outline of each leaf.

The artist's hand holds a slab-built mug made from off-white clay in front of a white linen backdrop. The mug is decorated with a glazed moon - it's mostly teal with a soft blue crescent and darker blue crators. The glazes melt together to give the moon a dreamy quality. At the top of the mug-handle there's a little thumb rest that seems to have grown out of the top edge of the mug.

Ceramic mug, slab built with sandy brown clay. It's decorated with detailed 3-dimentional mushrooms made from white clay. The mushroom caps are glazed with a speckling of different colored glazes, blue and teal primarily. The bottom third of the mug is unglazed to showcase the earthy color & texture of the clay.
