Some of my female friends who have only known me online have stopped me and said....it's the weirdest thing but....your brain and your speech don't. come across like a man's.
I had one friend who thought I was a lady cosplaying as a man for a few months until. High praise, for me.
Sorry, word limit. Textile Arts. Books about fabric, clothing and goods construction. Etc. basically if it involves cloth I'm into it or will get into it.

01.03.2026 23:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0*Shock, Gasp* No, that totally tracks. Intelligent people crave engagement and we often get it from our reading material. I tend to bounce back and forth between old Sewing machine manuals (don't judge, we all have our thing), History, Sci-fi, Smut (yes, yes, I know), and LOTS of non-fiction Textile

Again, no, but it's probably going to be the same level of intensity as the last one, if the title is any kind of indication.
Mom was a single mom who was Army Psyops and I read whatever was lying around the house. It was...eclectic.
Ooof. Wow, I pick a Ronin movie and you go straight for the jugular in life shaping lessons. This is why I spend more time around women than men, you all are ruthless and scary. (That's a compliment.) I can only imagine that that left an impact alright.

Ok, fair fair. To be honest I couldn't remember a tenth of his filmography post TBI anyway, but I still do appreciate his work. Yojimbo had a stunningly great impact on my character development as a young man.
Have you had books/films impact you similarly?
Truth. Ugly, ugly truth. I was introduced to a saying by a Japanese friend of mine. "The house with snow on the roof is not always the best." Meaning simply that age does not always presage wisdom.

Chicken Hawk Trump.
The warmonger who refused to serve.
A big part of the authoritarian playbook is war. War takes over the news. War blots out criticism. War divides a nationβs people, subjecting those against it to being called unpatriotic. War grants leaders all sorts of emergency powers. War consumes everything else.
We mustnβt let this war do so.

And that is the mark of a good human being, admitting when we weren't able to return another's good actions/intentions and owning our own failings. *Chefs kiss*
Took me a lot of years and a brain injury to get there, so you've got my respect.
Don't we all? The classic monster movie mural theme is brilliant!
Instead of permanently ruining old posters you could get reprints of the originals and artificially age them. Those go for much cheaper on fleabay. You can also self print B&W copies. Just saying because I'm a crafter, too.
Hypatia of Alexandria (c. 370β415 CE), brilliant Greek mathematician, astronomer, and Neoplatonist philosopherβthe first woman known to head a major school of learning; she taught advanced mathematics, astronomy, and philosophy, advised civic leaders, and became a symbol of reason and intellectual freedom despite the era's gender and religious barriers. The black-and-white engraved portrait shows her in profile, facing left, with a serene, contemplative expression; she has an elegant neck, large eyes, and elaborate braided hair styled in a high bun wrapped with a headband, rendered in fine line work with soft shading on a plain background.
