The references are varied and many, and include Star Trek, Penny Dreadful, Slice the Cake, and many more other pieces of media and I'd be delighted if anyone caught them. Some are more obvious than others lol

When I was writing out the tabs for the third track, I realised that if I had written the GP file first, I would have scrapped that song before I got halfway through it because the MIDI sounds like dogshit. However, the recording sounds amazing, melodic, extremely emotional...yeah. It's a good song.

The way I used to do it was that I would write the instruments and all the extra harmonies in Guitar Pro first, and then I'd record the song once I was sure I had the whole thing structured and memorised. Now I record as I'm writing and then go back later and write the tabs.

I've been slowly going through and writing out the Guitar Pro files for this album and I have learned two things:
1. I am bad at remembering how to play my own songs without a guitar in my hands
2. If I were still writing by doing the tabs first and then recording, this album would be very different
