After two days of uninterrupted sunshine, it was a tad murky out on the Brugge-Oostende canal this morning.

A stunning early spring day here today. This is the view from the bridge at Hoeke, almost on the Dutch border. First cycle ride this year with just one layer & no gloves! 😊 🚲

So much will be said about all this in the coming days, but IMO the biggest takeaway is that James Watt and Martin Dickie each pocketed more than the price BrewDog was eventually sold for, while 500 hardworking staff are now out of a job & 220k equity punks don't get a dime.

Absolute charlatans.

Pretty sure I cycled the 15 miles from Bromley to Wimbledon in the middle of that. Heading up the Mitcham Road from Croydon towards Mitcham I'd basically turned into a (very slow, very cold) cycling snowmonster 🤣

Having spent the last two weeks doing similar in Windsor, Wokingham, Derbyshire & Belfast I totally understand this dilemma 😂

You'd love it, Fin. In the last couple of years before moving I'd been going more often & really appreciated its qualities. Returning after a gap & seeing it in action on a busy Friday evening was fantastic. Such a great pub.

From June until August, a new ICE will run from Köln to Oostende during the weekends, also making a stop in Gent and Brugge. On weekdays, the train is limited to Brussels. Some trains also stop in Leuven.

Just one for me please. However, an additional one for Dries would also be great, & then he'll hopefully want to get some for BB 😊

Likewise! Though it was 11.49am on a Thursday morning. There were two other customers when I arrived. When I left there were perhaps three more, the ambience still close to perfect.
