(3/4) Having intelligent, credentialed investigators and thought leaders locked behind paywalls is some of why we got into the mess we're in. People couldn't access legitimate journalism, so they went with the free (quality questionable) stuff on all corners of the internet.

(2/4) be allowed to read a set number of articles per month from 1 of maybe 10 paywall sources that participate. I can't buy or justify a subscription to 10 different sources alone. But I could buy a community pass, from which the source would get paid per article.
