‘Dig, Dig, Dinosaur’ book was a big hit at our early years class today. Thank you @evoswami.bsky.social for signing the books and writing each family a message. The families loved the special touch.

I knew Birdie by @jprosewriter.bsky.social was going to be great due to the number of recommendations I have had for it but no one warned me that it would make me fight back the tears and not to read it in public. One of the most beautifully written books I have read this year.

My favourite children’s bookshop! Martina is so good with recommendations too.

Yes we have the sequel and I love that too. I have just got a copy of Birdie as our next read. Have you read Kimberley’s ‘Fighting Words’? More of a YA book but it is unbelievable how she can tackle such tricky issues in such a sensitive way.

My latest read is perfect for children in Key Stage 2 learning about Tudor history. A fun adventure story with lots of historical facts celebrating Black history.
