Iran is finalizing plans to impose “security duties” in the Persian Gulf on oil tankers and commercial ships that belong to countries allied with the US, an Iranian source with knowledge of the leadership’s strategy told CNN. We are having milder forms of this in Canada, too. Usually it's smaller, niche programs or tax policies that each seem innocuous if maybe dumb, but then you sum it all up and it's all just "the median voter should get things and not pay for them"
