I think I wanna write about the idea of lowest cost paths and routing in general but I gotta wait for the synapses to do their thing
I was planning on doing a little explainer about routing and how it works and why it's important but my head isn't working and I'm watching this person who was ON MY BLOCK drive farther and farther away and it's very frustrating so keep an eye out for that later!

This made me wonder what tool this company is using to do their routing. This is the "traveling salesman" problem, one of many problems routing algorithms seek to solve! And whatever tool they're using is not taking it into consideration.
I'm at home waiting for an important delivery that requires my signature. I have no way of contacting the driver, but I can see a periodically-updated location. They're doing a bunch of deliveries in Brooklyn. They keep getting closer to me, and then farther away.
