What a fantastic EPQ presentation evening we had last night! The evening is an academic highlight of our school calendar and it is inspiring to see our sixth form students delve deeply and become genuine experts in topics of their own choosing.

Congrats to our combined Y7/8 boys hockey team for an undefeated evening. Beating KES, Shipston and Stratford. Thanks to Bobby and Rayed for taking turns in goal.

Our Year 7 history students took part in a lively “movement debate” this morning! The big question: Who was the best candidate for King in 1066? Students listened carefully to each argument, responded thoughtfully, and even had the chance to switch sides if they were persuaded!

We have had a fantastic week of Open Mornings welcoming prospective Year 7 students. A big thank you to our Year 8 tour guides and Year 11 Prefects for being such excellent ambassadors for our school!

Winning Wednesday for our Senior Netballers. 1st-4ths wins. Well done to all players.

Another fantastic netball weekend at Condover hall. So many great memories made. Well done to our girls who have all played with determination and fair play. Some great improvements for the season ahead.

Another busy morning of LIFE sessions today. Year 9 were practising active listening and presentation skills, Year 11 were focusing on physical activity to help wellbeing ahead of mock exams, and Year 13 were preparing a quick and cost-effective student staple – pizza!

Update from Gold DoE: Last group just into camp as the sun sets at the end of day 3. All 65 students still going well. 60km down, 20km to go.

Lunchtime in the KS3 library… which officially opened today for all after our week of Library induction lessons. We are also looking forward to announcing the winners of our Y6-7 Summer Reading Challenge soon!

All 10 Gold DofE teams made good progress on day 1 of their assessed expedition in the Black Mountains on Saturday. We wish them luck as they continue today!

Friday morning at AGS means a LIFE session! All designed to link with our Personal Development Curriculum goals and ensure students leave AGS ready for life. Sessions today included learning how to iron, sign language, independent learning skills, car maintenance...amongst many other things!
