Maryland is training more health workers to offer abortion care
After the fall of โRoe v. Wade,โ thousands of out-of-state patients traveled to Maryland for abortion care. The state is trying to diversify who can offer that care.
"As many as 120 [Maryland] health care providers will be trained over the next two years. Some participants have said they are returning to communities that are hostile to abortion rights."
