A Dracula book I read, with sources listed, said that Jonathan is Stoker’s alter-ego, and Dracula is basically his desire to kiss men. And, there is an ongoing theme in the book that a husband must kill his wife if she turns to evil. Jonathan kills Dracula + has/had a close relationship with him
