Part of the implications of being skeptical of algos is in 2017, if a Twitter bluecheck posted โXYZ fired for being critical of QRSโ there was a good chance the claim had passed through multiple levels of filters to be posted.
Today, if โXYZ firedโ shows up in your feed it could just be algo grift.
Something I realized this weekend: we should have a more charitable reading of the folks in our orbit that have a totally different understanding not just of this man but of any figure that is mostly known via social media imagery. We literally are seeing totally different characters.
15.09.2025 12:16 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This is an extremely important point. One that we all need to come to realize. Not just about Charlie Kirk, but about everyone and every issue that is filtered through the social media ecosystem.

13.09.2025 19:59 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Trends that to me all seem related:
-There are a huge number of households earning $100k+ and/or with $1M+ net worths
-We have not increased the supply of goods (housing, elite higher ed, Disney/Vegas) to meet this wealth
-Hiring is weak, especially for young people
-Those without money are YOLOing
Iโm no tennis expert but these two guys look like they could dominate the sport for years to come.
07.09.2025 21:32 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The stadiums will be full. But it for sure does not feel like a big deal yet at all.
On the upside, at least it finally got the Gulch project moving. No longer a massive hole in the ground that people were scared to walk past.
Something learned many years ago, in the major markets like NYC or SF, price is not barrier. If itโs a huge event and the mega wealthy want to go, they go.
06.09.2025 14:30 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yeah. Itโs drastically different. Iโve never seen anything with the volatility that prices experienced for todayโs matches.
Friday night went nuclear when Alcaraz won. Then they announced at 1am Thursday morning he would be day session. So the day session went nuclear and night session died.
Itโs wild how much bigger of a draw Alcaraz is than Sinner.

02.09.2025 00:53 โ ๐ 18 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Carson Beckโs making $4 million in Miami, throwing a TD, having fun. Quinn Ewers (couldโve made millions of dollars playing for Michigan this year) got drafted in the 7th round and is the 3rd string QB for the Dolphins.
01.09.2025 00:36 โ ๐ 58 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 5 ๐ 2Banks keeping the spread between mortgage rates and the 10 year treasury at levels never seen before. Thatโs going to become a political issue for trump. He will say something negative about them and try to force them to tighten it up. But banks worried about too much refinancing here.

23.08.2025 17:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thatโs where this is different. The Big 6 have the earnings and growth to justify the valuations.
In the late 90s it was all speculation about what would come. And they were right they were just way too early.
Same thing happened with housing in 03-07. Speculators Right bit too early & blew up!
Perhaps Iโm wrong. But I think itโs very unlikely that the Qs collapse or that this is a dot-com bust.

I started with a 97% state of charge yesterday, did 105 miles with a trailer (donโt ask), another 52 miles without, and ran a tailgate (fans, slow cooker, hot dog roller, interior AC) off my truck for four hours. Why do ppl have range anxiety?

The vast majority of these between I-16 and the GL/FL line didnโt exist a year ago. I used to really have to think that trip through. When I drove down to delivery supplies after the hurricane, it got really dicey.
Yeah I donโt even think about that term anymore at all. Even in SEGA, thereโs enough chargers now to make the trip down with no worries.

When I think Buford highway, I think downtown Buford to McGinnis ferry in suwanee.
There is a pyramid in a way in this ecosystem โ you start with dance or unboxing videos and if you get some attention try to keep leveling up. Jake Paul did it too:

09.08.2025 01:10 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Theyโve done an excellent job of creating FOMO too. This used to be something the music business was great at. But they moved away from this model. Itโs hard for young college grads, but despite being in the shadow of AI, wage growth in the industry has actually accelerated lately: www.bloomberg.com/opinion/arti...
